The road signs contain no words. Which can be confusing at first, but makes it easier than deciphering Dutch or Creole. Get a tourist map to learn these quick references.
Consider a 4×4 or off-terrain car rental in Aruba if you’re going to explore the National Parks and trails on the Northeast Coast. Don’t forget to take the Conchi (Natural Pool) trail.
Consider making a sunrise/sunset trip all in one day.
Fellow tourists are easy to spot because of the V-registration of their vehicles. Others argue that it’s the actual use of turn signals.
Don’t get me wrong. I love planting myself on the Southwest Coast of Aruba and enjoying the luxury and service of the resorts and casinos. It’s just that there’s so much more exploring to do with your car rental in Aruba. This island is an ancient crossroads of culture.
